The Gimp 2.4.0 officially released

Have a look at www.gimp.org

New website (design by jimmac) and a new version. That’s a nice treat.

Now the pre-release version has been already widely used and is the default in Ubuntu Gutsy. So the new features are not a surprise, but the list is impressive. It is good to see a whole page devoted to color management.

Congrats to The Gimp team!! and… let’s start getting serious with GEGL now🙂

will you sometimes write anything about color management in linux? I followed that link “color management” then went to websites about argyll and lprof, but I didn´t see there any userfriendly (and beginner-friendly) guide how to use and setup it. I mean for peoples that never encountered a color management at all.

Oh, I´m sorry for my previous post, I just found you have here few articles on this topic already…

    Hi Tibor,

Don’t worry, Color Management is hard to explain and grasp at first, but once you start using it and see the power of it, you wonder how you ever did without.
Regarding my site, take a look at the table of contents…

    Take care.
